About the Project
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in India. - There is approx 800,000 new cases in India on yearly, according to the Cancer registry data. Cancer caused due to tobacco usage is about 35% to 50% out of all cancers in men and 17% in women. To combat, DFY established the cancer care projects Pan India for the last 6 years and has been extensively working on Multiple levels in various states. It has station teams for screening for Oral, Breast and Cervix cancer in various states through multiple CSR initiative. DFY has established help desk in renowned hospitals like TMH, Safdarjung under Pfizer's CSR initiative. DFY is working on providing Free cancer patient vehicle/transportation to hospital. DFY is operating in expanding infrastruction and equipment for major cancer hospitals.

A CSR initiative of Pfizer
Aastha is comprehensive Patient support program through Help Desk setup in renowned hospital. The project provides Navigational support, Govt scheme application, Counselling and other key non medical support to provide a seamless Patient Care.
Donor - Indian cancer Socity
Through Ganga Godavari project a Tikri Village, Varanasi District, Uttar Pradesh was adopted to provide a 100 % cancer screening and treatment support.
Donor - Fusion Microfinance
Under the cancer screening project sponsored by Fusuon MicroFinance. DFY undertook cancer screening and health awareness special session for Rural female through Social groups.
Donor - Tata Trust
Under Project Cancer Out , DFY partnered with Tata Trust and Rajasthan Royal Team to establish 8 Screening unit in 6 different Districts of Rajasthan. Screening centers were established to screen for Oral, Breast and Cervix Cancer screening and Guiding patients for treatment with the Government Partner Hospitals.
