Maharashtra state is the growth engine of India. While the state has made significant progress in almost all developmental indicators there are pockets of underdeveloped areas having poor health indicators and need urgent interventions. Recent outbreak of Measles in the slums of Mumbai is a wake up call for all of us to do more than what is currently being done. Apart from routine challenges of health & nutrition sectors COVID-19 has highlighted the need to focus our attention on Pandemic Preparedness. This CSR conclave is a joint effort of public health department Govt. of Maharashtra, civil society organisations, Corporate and Public sectors to identify such challenges and find solutions for sustainable development in the state. Adaptation of inter-sectoral and multi-stakeholder approach is required to support upliftment of current health status of the state. Post COVID19 pandemic, CSR initiative has taken much needed momentum for optimal healthcare service provision. Various sectors such as public health, nutrition, education, skill development and disaster management can work together and achieve the best of heath of the state. Therefore, in view of overcoming innumerable challenges and optimal provision of healthcare services in Maharashtra which are manageable at various levels with productive partnerships in different sectors, Government of Maharashtra is organizing a CSR conclave in collaboration with Doctors For You. The conclave intends to engage all Corporate and Public sectors with CSR, to strengthen the health systems of Maharashtra. The conclave will enable establish a fruitful partnership with the Government of Maharashtra.
